Waiting deep within a dark alley, lined with dumpsters and crawling with rats, emanates a soft warm glow. Reflecting off the puddles of dirty water, a subtle red light beckons you towards its direction. As you stumble over the empty bottles and torn trash bags, you begin to hear the faint hum of a neon sign. Your nose is flooded with the smell of piss and vomit, venturing deeper past the occasional passed out drunk slumped against the alley walls. 

Suddenly, you’re on an uncomfortable, wobbly, bar stool as a tall, dark figure pours you a shot of tequila. The aroma of urine and stomach bile is now cigarette smoke and cheap aftershave. A broken jukebox plays staticky country rock vinyls, complimented by the sounds of billiard balls clacking against one another. “Ay homie” slurs out a voice to your left “think I could bum a smoke?” A drunken man pries his body off the bar counter, only to lose his balance and return back to his pile of empty glasses and ash trays. The barkeep rolls their eyes and reaches under the counter to find a half smoked soft pack of Marlboro reds. Pouring you another shot of tequila before tossing them towards the man beside you.

Eyes closed, you hear the familiar sound of your morning alarm. Pulling out your phone, you wince at the bright screen… 8:30am. Looks like you’re gonna be late, and to make things worse your shirt is covered in ash and what smells like cheap margarita mix. As you find your footing to the door, you make sure to grab a commemorative t-shirt. Ditching yours in the trash, you pull on your new apparel. With such an immaculate design, no one will even notice how hungover you are.
